You will have a stopover at the crater viewpoint before we continue with our drive.
This is one of the most enjoyable drives in your trip where you will see a large number of animals like giraffes, Zebras, Implas, gazelles and others till we enter to the Nabbi gate. We shall have our lunch break at the gate before we drive to the heart of Serengeti national park with enroute game drive before we head to our lodge for checking in.
Day 3 full day Serengeti
We have a full day in this wonderful park, rising early for breakfast and picking our lunch boxes before we head direct to the bush to search for the big game of the day. Our guides will choose the best spotting locations of the wildebeest migration for the time of year you have travelled, we go to Grumeti river where the migration starts from in June. We shall spend a full day in this area and we can spend time at the Hippo pool watching these majestic animals laze about in the cool water happily living alongside the crocodiles. You will watch a big pride of lions & you will be in the middle of the migration. Sometimes you will be surrounded by wildebeest, sometimes by zebras, which travel with the wildebeest. We continue our journey from the wide open plains to the kopjes. These volcanic rocky outcrops provide protection and shelter for a wide variety of animals and from the top we can look out across the vast grasslands of the Serengeti. This diverse and interesting landscape will provide us with an ultimate game viewing and great experience of 6 days Serengeti safari. we will hopefully see all of the plain games; elephants, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, lions and it you are lucky the elusive leopard and cheetah, as well as huge amounts of interesting bird life, from the elegant secretary birds to the flightless ostrich. We return to our special tented camp for the night at
Day 4 full day Serengeti
(Optional Balloon safari)We have another full day in this wonderful park, rising early to make the most of our time. We head to another direction that is far North to the Mara River to look for what we missed on the previous game drives especially with the wildebeest migration. This diverse and interesting landscape will provide us with the ultimate in game viewing and we will hopefully see all of the plain game like the elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, lions and if it’s your are lucky you’ll see the elusive leopard and cheetahs as well as huge amounts of interesting bird life from the elegant secretary birds to the flightless ostrich. We return to our special tented camp for the night
Day 5 Serengeti to Ngorongoro
We start the day with breakfast but this time it is served very early in the morning and after we shall go for the enroute game drive as we transfer back to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and to the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater.
Ngorongoro is a special place in that, it is a Conservation Area, not a National Park. This means that the whole area is managed for both the animals and the local Maasai people who graze their cattle alongside the indigenous wildlife. During the drive in Ngorongoro we have a chance to have a glimpse at something of the Maasai ways of life. After stopping at the entrance gate, where there is a chance to learn more about this fascinating volcanic landscape, we will drive around the rim of the Crater itself, and from here we can look down and see the herd of wildebeest or buffalos. Finally, we descend into the crater. The crater walls provide a natural sanctuary for the animals, which means there is plenty to see including lions, elephants, buffalo, rhino and leopard (if you are lucky). The only animal you won’t see in here is a giraffe, whose long legs are unable to cope with the steeps sides of the crater. In the late afternoon we travel back to our special tented camp
