10 days Serengeti, Mara and Nyungwe safari is a tour which will start in Tanzania and you will visit two other countries during the safari including Kenya and Rwanda.
This funfilled package includes game drives in Serengeti national park in Tanzania, a game viewing experience in Tarangire national park, a safari in Masai Mara reserve in Kenya, Canopy walk in Rwanda and Chimpanzee trekking in Rwanda.
You will also engage in city tours in Nairobi and Kigali during your safari and also enjoy cultural tours. The safari will end in Kigali Rwanda.
Day 1; arrival
Your guide will welcome you at the airport and drive you to your hotel in Arusha for check in. dinner and overnight will be at Tulia boutique hotel and spa.
Day 2; pick up and drive to Tarangire national park
Your guide will pick you up your hotel in Arusha and you will be welcomed and have a short briefing of your safari. After your briefing, you will be driven to Tarangire national park.
You will engage in a game drive to experience the beauty of Tarangire national park to see wildlife species such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, elands, hartebeests among others. You will also see many bird species in the national park during your game drive. Dinner and overnight will be at Baobab tented lodge.
Day 3; drive to Serengeti national park
You will have breakfast at your lodge ahead of your drive to Serengeti national park. After lunch, you will have a game drive to look for wildlife species in the national park such as the big five like lions, elephants, buffalos, leopards and rhinos among other wildlife species .You will have your dinner and overnight at Serengeti heritage luxury tented camps and lodges.
Day 4; full day game drives
On day 4 of your 10 days Serengeti, Masai Mara and Nyungwe safari, after breakfast at your lodge in Serengeti national park, you will have a morning game drive to look for wildlife species such as giraffes, zebras, gazelles, buffalos, lions, elephants among others.
You will have another game drive around Serengeti as you search for other wildlife species such as wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, waterbucks, antelopes, zebras among others. Your guide will drive you back to your lodge after your game drive for your dinner and overnight at Serengeti heritage luxury tented camps and lodges.
Day 5; drive to Masai Mara national reserve
You will start your day with an early breakfast before checking out of your lodge in Serengeti national park. You will continue for your transfer to Masai Mara national reserve via the Isebania border where you will complete the clearing with customs and then you will proceed to the Kenyan side of the border and your guide will drive you to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Sentrim Mara camp.
Day 6; full day game drives
You will engage in a full day of game drives around Masai Mara after breakfast at your lodge. you will start the day with a morning game drive as you look out for wildlife species like giraffes, antelopes, gazelles, waterbucks, zebras, lions, leopards and many others.
After having lunch, you will engage in another game drive around Masai Mara as you explore the savannah and search for other wildlife species. you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Sentrim Mara camp.
Day 7; drive to Nairobi
On the 7th day of your 10 days Serengeti, Masai Mara and Nyungwe safari, after breakfast and checking out of your lodge in Masai Mara national reserve, you will continue your drive to Nairobi. You will check in at your lodge and can also engage in a city tour around Nairobi.
Dinner and overnight stay at Le Maison Royale hotel.
Day 8; flight to Rwanda
After breakfast and checking out of your hotel in Nairobi, you will be driven to the airport for your flight to Rwanda. Upon arrival at Kigali international airport, your guide will pick you up and drive you to your hotel.
Depending on your time of arrival in Rwanda, you will have a city tour around Kigali which is the capital of Rwanda known as the land of a thousand hills. After your Kigali city tour, you will be driven back to your hotel for your dinner and overnight at Des milles collines hotel.
Day 9; drive to Nyungwe national park and canopy walk
You will be picked up by your guide from your hotel in Kigali as you prepare for a drive to Nyungwe forest national park. You will have a stop in Butare where you will visit the King’s palace and also have lunch enroute.
After lunch, you will engage in a canopy walk along a swing bridge which is about 50 meters long suspended between trees and you will enjoy seeing the rainforest and also enjoy seeing wildlife species from a bird’s eye view. After the canopy walk in Nyungwe forest, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Nyungwe top hill view hotel.
Day 10; chimpanzee trekking and drive to Kigali
You will have an early breakfast at your lodge ahead of a chimpanzee trekking activity in Nyungwe forest national park. You will be driven to the park headquarters in Uwinka for briefing about the chimpanzee trekking activity.
The Nyungwe forest has about 80 habituated chimpanzees and as you enjoy your chimpanzee trekking you will also enjoy seeing other primates in the forest such as red tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys among others.
After the chimpanzee trekking activity, your guide will drive you back to Kigali and drop you off at the airport or your hotel in Kigali which will bring your safari to an end.
