Detailed itinerary;

Day 1; pick up and drive to Lake Mburo national park

You will start your 20 days safari with pick up from the airport by your guide who will welcome you and you will also have a short briefing about the safari. After your briefing, you will continue your drive to Lake Mburo national park with a stopover at the equator where you will enjoy taking photos, seeing water experiments and also visiting the craft shops.

After your equator experience, your guide will drive you to your lodge in the national park where you will check in and prepare to have your lunch. You will have a game drive later in the afternoon to experience the wilderness of the national park as you look out for the different wildlife and bird species at the destination. Dinner and overnight will be at  

Day 2; morning game drive and evening nature walk

Breakfast will be served at your lodge in Lake Mburo national park ahead of your morning game drive during which you will see various wildlife species such as buffalos, warthogs, antelopes, zebras among others which are very active at this time of day and easy to see as they graze around the plains in the national park. Your guide will drive you back to your lodge after the morning game viewing activity as you prepare to have your lunch.

You will also have an evening nature walk later in the company of your guide as you walk on foot and get a close experience with your natural surroundings in the national park and watch the beautiful sunset. Dinner and overnight will be at 

Day 3; drive to Queen Elizabeth national park

You will have your breakfast and then check out of your lodge in Lake Mburo national park and then continue your journey to Queen Elizabeth national park which is a wildlife viewing destination located in the south western part of Uganda where tree climbing lions can be seen.

You will check in at your lodge in the national park as you prepare for lunch. You will later have a game drive in the savannah plains as you look for the different wildlife species such as antelopes, buffalos, elephants among others. You will return to your lodge after the game drive for dinner and overnight at 

Day 4; lion trekking and launch cruise 

After having an early breakfast at your lodge, you will go for a lion trekking experience in Queen Elizabeth national park. The activity is carried out for about 2 hours as you enjoy seeing the lions in their prides as well as in the trees.

You will also have a launch cruise which is carried out along Kazinga channel where you will see buffalos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, hippos as well as various bird species like king fishers, cormorants, pelicans, eagles and many others which can be seen along the shores. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at 

Day 5; drive to Bwindi national park

You will have breakfast at your lodge in Queen Elizabeth national park and then check out as your prepare for your transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park from ishasha sector where tree climbing lions can be seen.

After checking in at your lodge in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park, you will have your lunch as you prepare to have an optional community visit during which you will interact with the local community and get to know more about the way of life of the Batwa people and their culture and traditions. Dinner and overnight will be at Buhoma lodge.

Day 6; gorilla trekking 

After having breakfast early in the morning at your lodge in Bwindi national park, your guide will drive you to the park headquarters where you will have a briefing about your gorilla trekking activity. You will proceed into the forest in search of the gorillas and you will spend about 2 to 8 hours looking for the gorillas. You will also see other bird species as well as primates in the forest during your gorilla trekking activity.

After gorilla trekking, you will return to the briefing point where you will meet your guide and be driven to your lodge. Dinner and overnight will be at Buhoma lodge.

Day 7; drive to Entebbe 

You will have breakfast at your lodge in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park and then check out of the lodge. You will continue your drive to Entebbe with a stopover in Mbarara town where you will have lunch.

After you have had lunch, you will continue your drive to Entebbe where your guide will drop you off at your hotel for dinner and overnight at Protea hotel Entebbe.  

Day 8; flight to Nairobi 

After having breakfast and checking out of your hotel in Entebbe on day 8 of your safari, you will continue your drive to the airport for your flight to Nairobi. On arrival in Kenya, you will be met by your guide who will welcome you and drive you around the city to your hotel where you will have your lunch and spend the rest of the day at the hotel. Dinner and overnight will be at Nairobi Serena lodge.

Day 9; drive to Lake Nakuru national park

You will have breakfast at your hotel in Nairobi ahead of your drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. You will enjoy views of the Great Rift Valley during your drive to the national park where you will check-in at your lodge as you wait to have your lunch.

After having your lunch, you will engage in an afternoon game drive as you search for different wildlife species in the national park such as rhinos, buffalos, hyenas, gazelles, giraffes, waterbucks among others as well as many bird species such as flamingos which can be seen around the lake shores. You will be driven back to your lodge after this experience as you enjoy the sunset and return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru lodge.

Day 10; drive to Masai Mara national reserve

You will start your day with breakfast at your lodge in Lake Nakuru national park as your prepare for your drive to your next destination on the itinerary which is Masai Mara national reserve in the south western part of Kenya. You will have a stopover in Narok town where you will get a cultural experience as you interact with the Maasai people and engage in activities such as watching traditional dance performances with the Maasai warriors, visiting the local market and traditional homesteads of the Maasai.

You will proceed to Masai Mara national reserve where you will have an en route game drive on the way to check in at your lodge and have lunch. You will have dinner and overnight at Mara Serena lodge. 

Day 11; full day in Masai Mara national reserve 

You will have breakfast before heading out for a morning game drive in Masai Mara national reserve to look out for different wildlife species like the big five which includes elephants, lions, buffalos, leopard and rhinos. Other wildlife species which can be seen during a game drive at this destination include antelopes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, waterbucks and different bird species.

Lunch will be served to your lodge after you return from the morning game drive. You will have another game drive in the afternoon to explore more of the wilderness and look out for other wildlife species grazing around the savannah plains. Dinner and overnight will be at Mara Serena lodge.

Day 12; drive to Amboseli national park

You will have breakfast at your lodge as you prepare to check out and continue your drive to Amboseli national park which is a home to large herds of elephants which can be seen roaming around the savannah plains with Mt Kilimanjaro in the backdrop which makes it a very scenic destination.

You will have a stop in Nairobi before continuing your journey to the national park where you will check in at your lodge and prepare for dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena lodge.

Day 13; full day in Amboseli national park

You will have breakfast at your lodge ahead of your full day of game viewing in Amboseli national park. You will start with a morning game drive during which you will see various wildlife species which are very active and can easily be seen as they graze around the savannah plains at the destination.

Lunch will be served at your lodge after you return from your morning game drive. You will have an afternoon game drive in the national park to look out for the wildlife species such as elephants, buffalos, giraffes, leopards, zebras, waterbucks among others as you enjoy the scenery around and take photos. Dinner and overnight will be at Amboseli Serena lodge.

Day 14; drive to Arusha 

Breakfast will be served at your lodge in Amboseli national park as you prepare for your transfer to Arusha via the Namanga border where you will cross to Tanzania. You will enjoy an en-route game drive around the savannah plains in the national park as your drive to the Tanzania- Kenya border. 

Your guide will drive you to your hotel in Arusha where you will check-in and have lunch. You will have a tour around Arusha to see different places and experience their cultures. Dinner and overnight will be at Mt Meru hotel.

Day 15; transfer to Serengeti national park

After breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, you will check out and continue your drive to Serengeti national park which is one of the famous wildlife viewing destinations in the northern part of Tanzania. You will check in at your lodge for lunch when you arrive in the national park.

You will also have an afternoon game drive in Serengeti national park as you explore its endless plains and look out for the different wildlife species such as wildebeest, zebras, elephants, buffalos, antelopes, cheetahs, lions, leopards, antelopes, hartebeests among others. You will also enjoy the amazing scenery and watching the sunset on the way to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena lodge.

Day 16-17; full day in Serengeti national park

You will start your wildlife viewing experience in Serengeti national park with breakfast at your lodge and then your guide will drive you around the national park as you enjoy seeing different wildlife species as they roam around the savannah plains such as wildebeest, antelopes, zebras, giraffes, cheetahs, leopards, lions, hyenas,, warthogs, hippos, elephants and many others.

Serengeti National Park

You will be driven back to your lodge by your guide after your morning game drive and you will enjoy your lunch and relax for a short time before proceeding for another game drive in Serengeti national park. You will enjoy seeing the kopjes which are good locations for seeing lions as they watch their prey. As you continue searching for the different wildlife species in the national park, you will also see many bird species and later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena lodge.  

Day 18; drive to Ngorongoro conservation area

You will have breakfast and then check out of your lodge in Serengeti national park as you prepare for your drive to another well-known wildlife viewing destination in the northern part of Tanzania which is the Ngorongoro conservation area. You will check in at your lodge and have your lunch before descending into the crater to search for different wildlife and bird species. 

You will enjoy seeing flamingos along the shores of Lake Magadi in the crater as well as wildlife species such as elephants, buffalos, lions, zebras, hyenas, warthogs, giraffes, leopards, cheetahs, wildebeest, waterbucks, elands, kudu, dik dik, impalas among others. Dinner and overnight will be at Ngorongoro wildlife lodge.

Day 19; transfer to Lake Manyara national park

You will have breakfast at your lodge in Ngorongoro conservation area and then check out as you prepare for your drive to Lake Manyara national park which is known for tree climbing lions as well as large herds of elephants. You will check in at your lodge and have your lunch.

After lunch, you will have an afternoon game drive to look out for wildlife species such as klipspringers, warthogs, impalas, elands, gazelles, lions, leopards as well as different bird species along the shores of the alkaline and shallow lake Manyara which covers about two thirds of the national park. Dinner and overnight will be at Lake Manyara Kilimamoja lodge. 

Day 20; departure 

After having breakfast on the last day of your safari, you will go for a nature walk along the treetop canopy where you will enjoy a close experience with nature and also enjoy the amazing views of Lake Manyara national park and the rift valley escarpment. You will be driven to Arusha after this experience and your guide will drop you off at allocation of your preference which will mark the end of your safari.
