Detailed itinerary

Day 1; pick up and drive to Lake Manyara national park

On the first day of your 14 Days East Africa Wildlife safari, you will be picked up from the airport by your guide who will welcome you and brief you about your 14 days safari. After briefing, you will proceed to Lake Manyara national park which is one of the famous wildlife viewing destinations in the northern part of Tanzania. You will have a stop in Mto wa mbu town where you will get a cultural experience. You will interact with the local community and get to know more about their way of life and engage in different activities such as engaging in traditional dance performances, visiting the local market.

You will proceed to Lake Manyara national park for wildlife viewing experiences and you will check in at your lodge for lunch. Dinner and overnight will be at Lake Manyara Serena lodge.

Day 2; drive to Ngorongoro conservation area

On day 2 of your safari, you will have breakfast at your lodge in Lake Manyara national park and then check out of the lodge as you wait to continue your journey to Ngorongoro conservation area. You will have lunch at your lodge in Ngorongoro before descending into the crater.

You will see various wildlife species in the Ngorongoro crater such as elephants, giraffes, antelopes, cheetahs, waterbucks, hartebeests, lions, leopards, zebras, hippos, hyenas, warthogs as well as different bird species such as flamingos along the shores of Lake Magadi. You will also enjoy views of your surroundings as you explore the crater area and later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro wildlife lodge.

Day 3; drive to Serengeti national park

You will have breakfast at your lodge as you prepare for your drive to the famous Serengeti national park which is home to the big five like lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos, and rhinos which you can see grazing and moving around the savannah plains at the destination. You will check in at your lodge as you prepare to have your lunch.

After lunch, you will have an afternoon game drive as you search for different wildlife species in the savannah plains in the wilderness of Serengeti national park like giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hartebeests, antelopes, waterbucks, hyenas, warthogs and hippos among others. You will be driven back to your lodge by your guide at the end of the day for dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena lodge.

Day 4; full day in Serengeti national park

You will have breakfast before you head out for your game viewing experiences in Serengeti national park which start with a morning game drive during which you will see various wildlife species which are very active during the day making them easy to see such as herds of elephants, lions on kopjes as they watch their prey in the savannah, antelopes, giraffes, wildebeests, waterbucks, zebras among others.

You will also return to your lodge for lunch after your morning game drive. Your guide will also drive you to the hippo pool where you will enjoy seeing hippos in big numbers later in the afternoon and you will also search for other wildlife species while enjoying the sunset. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena lodge.

Day 5; transfer to Masai Mara national reserve

You will start your day with breakfast at your lodge in Serengeti national park. You will cross via Isebania border where you will go through customs and you will then proceed to Masai Mara national reserve where you will have an en route game drive on the way to your lodge where you will check in. you will have dinner and overnight at Mara Serena lodge.

Day 6; full day Masai Mara national reserve

Wake up for breakfast at your lodge in Masai Mara national reserve as you prepare for your morning game drive. Your guide will drive you along the track as you enjoy seeing different wildlife species such as wildebeests, hartebeests, dik dik, zebras, giraffes, lions, leopards, antelopes, cheetahs among others. Your guide will drive you to your lodge where you will have lunch.

After lunch, you will have an afternoon game drive to experience more of the wilderness of Masai Mara national reserve as you look for the different wildlife species and enjoy the scenery at the destination and also take photos. You will be driven back to your lodge as you watch the sunset and prepare for dinner and overnight at Mara Serena lodge.

Day 7; drive to Lake Nakuru national park

On the 7th day of your 14 Days East Africa Wildlife safari, after having breakfast at your lodge in Masai Mara national reserve, you will have an en route game drive on the way to your next destination on the itinerary which is Lake Nauru national park where you will enjoy seeing different bird species such as the famous flamingos.

You will enjoy views of the rift valley on your way to the national park where you will check in and prepare to have your lunch. Some of the wildlife species you will see during your game drive in Lake Nakuru national park such as rhinos, giraffes, antelopes, elands, gazelles, reedbucks among others. You will have dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru lodge.

Day 8; drive to Amboseli national park

On the day of your drive to Amboseli national park, you will check out of your lodge in Masai Mara national reserve. You will have a stopover in Narok town where you will have an interaction with the Maasai people and get to know more about their nomadic way of life and their traditions and culture. You will proceed to Nairobi where you will have lunch.

After your lunch, you will proceed to Amboseli national park which is home to large herds of elephants and you will also enjoy views of Mt Kilimanjaro. Your guide will drive you to your lodge in the national park where you will check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena lodge.

Day 9; full day in Amboseli national park

Your day will start with you having breakfast served at your lodge as you prepare to engage in a morning game drive to explore the different attractions around Amboseli national park. You will also see different wildlife species which are very active during this time of day making them easy to see as they move around the national park.

You will return to your lodge for lunch after your morning game drive. After lunch, you will go for another game drive in the savannah plains of Amboseli national park, during which you will enjoy photography and also see different wildlife species such as elephants, kudu, buffalos, hyenas, giraffes, lions, leopards, elands, gazelles as well as different bird species. You will enjoy the sunset as you enjoy looking for wildlife species and continue your drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena lodge.

Day 10; drive to Nairobi

After breakfast and checking out of your lodge in Amboseli national park, you will have an en route game drive to enjoy seeing different wildlife species and also to catch sight of Mt Kilimanjaro and enjoy taking photos. You will continue your journey to Nairobi where you will check in at your lodge and have lunch.

You will enjoy driving around the city as you enjoy the different places around Nairobi and you will later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Nairobi Serena hotel.

Day 11; flight to Entebbe

On the 11th day of your 14 Days East Africa Wildlife safari, your guide will drive you from your hotel in Nairobi to the airport for your flight to Entebbe international airport. Your guide will pick you up upon arrival in Entebbe and you will be driven to your hotel where you will check in and have lunch.

After lunch, you will visit the reptile village where you will see different reptiles such as snakes and many others. You will later return to your hotel for dinner and overnight at Protea hotel Entebbe.

Day 12; drive to Bwindi national park

After having breakfast at your hotel in Entebbe, you will proceed to Bwindi national park. You will have a stop at the equator where you will enjoy taking photos and also seeing water experiments as well as visiting the craft shops.

You will proceed to the national park where you will check in at your lodge and spend the rest of the day relaxing as you wait for dinner and overnight at Buhoma lodge.

Day 13; gorilla trekking

Your gorilla trekking experience will start with breakfast at your lodge in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park. After having your breakfast, you will be driven to the park headquarters where you will be briefed about your gorilla trekking activity. You will proceed into the forest where you will spend about 2 to 8 hours searching for the gorillas. You will also see different primates in the forest as well as many bird species among the trees.

After your gorilla trekking activity, you will return to the briefing point where you will meet your guide and be driven aback to your lodge. Dinner and overnight will be at Buhoma lodge as the day before.

Day 14; departure

On the last day of your safari, you will start your day with breakfast at your lodge before checking out of your lodge and continuing your journey to Entebbe. You will have a stop in Mbarara town where you will have lunch. After lunch, your guide will drop you off at a location of your preference or at the airport which will mark the end of your safari.
