Detailed itinerary of the safari
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
On the first day of the safari you will be picked from your hotel by your safari drive who will brief you about the safari after early morning breakfast, from your hotel you will embark on your journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park which is a drive of 8 – 10 hours. On your way to park you will have en-route lunch in Mbarara and on your way you will enjoy sights of beautiful rolling hills in kabale, after reaching the park you will check into your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: First mountain gorilla trekking
On the second day of the safari you will wake up early in the morning for early morning breakfast and leave your lodge with your packed lunch, drive to the park’s headquarters for briefing about mountain gorilla trekking. At the park’s headquarters you will be briefed about the activity and be assigned the gorilla group to trek, after briefing you will head into the forest in search for mountain gorillas which takes approximately 1-3 hours. After finding the mountain gorillas you will be allowed only one hour with the mountain gorillas and in this hour you can take beautiful pictures, after one hour you will return to your lodge and transfer to another sector of mountain gorillas where you will spend the night. Upon reaching the other sector, you will check into your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.
Day 3: Second mountain gorilla trekking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
On the third day of the safari you are to have a second mountain gorilla trekking experience, on this day you will wake up early in the morning for morning breakfast and proceed to the park’s headquarters for breathing. like the previous trekking you will be briefed about the activity and be signed a group to trek which is different from the one you trekked on the previous trek, then you will climb into the forests looking for the mountain gorillas where you will spend only one hour with the gorillas. Since this journey takes time you will go with your packed lunch and after the experience you will trek back to the headquarters and head to your lodge. In the afternoon you will do a community walk in the batwa community, the Batwa are the ancient people who used to live in the forests of Bwindi, on your walk you will encounter and witness the local way of building houses using local materials, demonstration of hunting skill and many more. From the batwa community you will drive Lake Bunyonyi which is a drive of 2-3 hours, up reaching Lake Bunyonyi you check into your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 4: depart and transfer back to Kampala
On the fourth day of the safari you will wake up in the morning for a mouthwatering breakfast and then drive to the lake for a boat ride, while on the ride you will tour various islands, enjoy sights of many birds and the terraced green hills. After the drive you will exit from the lake and start on your journey back to Kampala, on your way you will have an en-route lunch and upon reaching Kampala you will be dropped off either at the hotel in Kampala or at Entebbe international airport for your flight back to your home.
