Detailed itinerary
Day 1; Drive to Serengeti national park
Your guide will pick you up from Kilimanjaro international airport and brief you about your 8 days safari. You will continue your drive to Serengeti national park where you will enjoy seeing a variety of wildlife species like the big five such as elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos and buffalos as you explore the oldest national park in Tanzania.
After having your lunch at your lodge in Serengeti national park, you will engage in an afternoon game drive during which you will see wildlife species like wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, kudu, impalas, giraffes, hyenas, warthogs, hippos, cheetahs and many others. You will enjoy the sunset over the endless plains of Serengeti national park on the way to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Serengeti heritage luxury tented camps and lodges.
Day 2; Full day in Serengeti national park
After having breakfast at your lodge in Serengeti national park, your guide will drive to explore the different attraction around Serengeti national park such as kopjes like the Simba kopjes which can be seen sitting on top of the rocks. Another interesting thing to watch in the wild is seeing predators like lions hunting their prey.
During your 8 days safari in Serengeti national park, you will enjoy your packed lunches in the savannah as you enjoy the scenery around and see various wildlife species grazing in the distant plains. Your guide will drive you back to your lodge after the game drives and you will have your dinner and spend the night at Serengeti heritage luxury tented camps and lodges.
Day 3; drive to Masai Mara national reserve
On the 3rd day of your 8 days safari, you will have breakfast as you prepare for your transfer to Masai Mara national reserve located in the south western part of Kenya. You will cross via the isebania border where you will clear with customs and meet your Kenyan guide and proceed to your lodge in Masai Mara national reserve where you will check in and have your dinner and overnight at Sentrim Mara camp.
Day 4; full day in Masai Mara national reserve
After having breakfast at your lodge in Masai Mara national reserve, your guide will drive you around the reserve where you will enjoy seeing a variety of wildlife species such as elephants, lions, wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, bush bucks, leopards, buffalos, topi, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, duikers, gazelles and many others. You will enjoy your lunches in the wild as you take in the amazing sights and attractions around Masai Mara national reserve.
During your visit in Masai Mara national reserve, you will also have an afternoon game drive and you will visit different wildlife viewing spots as you explore the natural habitat of the wildlife. There are also various bird species which can be seen during a safari in the reserve. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Sentrim Mara camp.
Day 5; flight to Masai Mara national to Entebbe
Breakfast will be served at your lodge in Masai Mara national reserve as you prepare for a drive to the airstrip. You will have a flight to Entebbe international airport in Uganda where you will be met by your guide who will welcome you and drive you to your hotel.
You will spend the rest of the day relaxing at your hotel in Entebbe where you will have dinner and overnight at 2 friends hotel Entebbe.
Day 6; drive to Bwindi national park
You will have breakfast at your hotel in Entebbe as you prepare for your drive to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park which is famous for having gorillas. You will have a stop at the equator where you will take photos and also enjoy watching experiments at the equator and also visit craft shops which have different art and crafts and other souvenirs. You will have your lunch in Mbarara and continue your drive to the national park.
During your 8 days safari in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park, your guide will drive you to your lodge for dinner and to spend the night at Buhoma haven lodge.
Day 7; gorilla trekking
After having breakfast early at your lodge, your guide will drive you to the park headquarters of Bwindi national park where you will be briefed about your gorilla trekking activity. You will continue into the impenetrable forest where you will be accompanied by your ranger guide as you follow trails through the forest where you will see primates like black and white colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys as well as a variety of bird species. You will spend about 1 hour with the gorillas before returning to the briefing point where you will be met by your guide and you will be driven back to your lodge.
You will have dinner and spend the night after the gorilla trekking activity at Buhoma haven lodge.
Day 8; End of safari
On the last day of your 8 days safari, after having breakfast at your lodge in Bwindi national park your guide will drive you back to Entebbe with a stop at Igongo cultural center where you will have lunch and also learn more about the Ankole culture and traditions. You will proceed to Entebbe after this experience and you will be dropped off at your hotel or at Entebbe international airport which will bring your safari to an end.
