2026 Amboseli National Park Fees were released and became effective on 1st October 2025. The 2026 Amboseli National Park Fees were communicated by the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) and were to be used with immediate effect by all travelers and tourism stakeholders.

Amboseli National Park is a premium Kenyan national park, visited by thousands of travelers all throughout the year. Amboseli National Park boasts majestic long-tusked herds of elephants, various animals, birds, and beautiful scenery, especially the towering views of Kilimanjaro. To access and do various activities in Amboseli National Park, there are several fees to be considered, as may be seen below;

2026 Amboseli National Park Access Fees for Adults.

Non-residents pay 90USD, African citizens pay 50USD, Residents pay 2,025KSH, and East African Citizens pay 1,500KSH. These 2026 Amboseli National Park access fees are paid per person per day, and are valid for up to 24 hours only.

2026 Amboseli National Park Access Fees for Children and Students.

Non – resident children and students pay 45USD, African citizens pay 25USD, Residents pay 1,050KSHS, while East African citizen children and students pay 750KSH, all per person per day, valid for 24 hours only.

Amboseli National Park Camping Fees

For private camping sites, Foreign non-resident adults pay $50 and children $25, African Citizen adults pay $25 and children or students $15, Resident adults pay 700Ksh and children 350Ksh, while East African Community citizen adults pay 500Ksh and children 250Ksh. All these are per person per night. Reservation fees for special campsite per week are 10,000 KSh for all statuses of travelers and are nonrefundable.

For public camping sites, adult nonresidents pay $30 and children or students $25. Adult African citizens pay $15, and children pay $13. Resident adults pay 350Ksh and children 250Ksh, while Adult East African citizens pay 250Ksh and 200Ksh for children or students. All per persona per night.

While on an Amboseli National Park safari, game drives are the most sought-after activity; guided walking safaris are also possible here. Guided walking safaris in Amboseli National Park have armed KWS park rangers escorting tourists by foot along established trails in Amboseli National Park, tracking animals.

This is an activity that allows travelers a chance to come up close with not only nature but animals as well, including giraffes and elephants! A fee is attached to this, however. Foreign nonresidents and African citizens pay $20 per person, while residents and East African Community citizens pay 2,000Tsh per person, exclusive of the park entrance fees. A guided walking safari in Amboseli National Park is by prior arrangement only.

Payment Mode / How to Pay

To pay for your 2026 Amboseli National Park fees, Visa and MasterCard as well as local Kenyan Mpesa, are the only available options. Payment in cash is not acceptable across all Kenya Wildlife Services parks.

Useful Guidelines/Important to Note

  • African citizen refers to a national of other African countries other than those of the East African Community.
  • East African Community Citizen refers to a person from any of the EAC member states.
  • Non- resident means a national of any country other than the East African Community member states or an African citizen.
  • Resident refers to a person who is not a Kenyan citizen or East African Community citizen residing in Kenya with a valid resident permit.
  • Student means an individual who is not older than 23 years from a recognized secondary school, college or university who is visiting the park for educational purposes only, under a documented and organized arrangement with the said educational institution.

  • A child refers to a person who is between 5 years old but below 18 years old. An adult is a person who is 18 years and above.
  • Persons who are 4 years and below are exempt from Amboseli National Park fees
  • Proper identification is required at all points of entry to ascertain residency and age.
  • Amboseli National Park is open from 6 am to 6 pm; before or beyond either time is by prior arrangement and authorization from KWS.
