Serengeti has a good number of leopards but hardly seen and typically found lazing at the big acacia trees at the park or in the Kopjes, Cheetahs mostly seen at the Southern part of the park and Carvel and Jennet cats are also commonly seen.  The park has a large number of Buffalo herds easily seen across the park mostly occupying the swampy areas of Osupuko hills, research centre and other sectors on the North near Mara river.

These animals are seen in all the game drives though the highest number is found in Seronera area. The highlight of Serengeti is the wildebeest migration which is composed of these Hooved animals like Wildebeest, zebras, Eland, Gazelles, topi among others, Hyenas and Jackals are very common in the central and Southern Serengeti

The park has over 500 bird species recorded with all the 23 African endemics available at the park. Serengeti hosts both Migratory birds from Africa and European birds who come during rainy season for breeding before they fly back. The other section are permanent birds that can be seen throughout the year with the most welcoming bird being the Superb Starling, Kori Bustard, Ostriches, Lovebird and others. Bird watching in Serengeti is done year around but the best months are rainy month of April when the birds are nesting around the park.
