Day 1 Arusha – Lake Manyara
Our 6 days Serengeti budget safaris starts from Arusha where the driver guide from our tour operator picks you early after your breakfast. You will be transferred to the great rift valley park that is Lake Manyara national park where you arrive in the early afternoon. Check in our lodge for lunch and some refreshments before we head inside the park for an evening game drive in search for elephants, tree-climbing lions, leopards, buffalos, giraffes, kobs, baboons among others as well as large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake. You will have dinner and an stay overnight at the lodge.
Day 2 – Lake Manyara – Serengeti Plains
Day 2 of 6 days Serengeti budget safaris, after breakfast we transfer to Serengeti National Park. We have stop over at Ngorongoro crater viewing point before we continue with our drive to Serengeti with vast game viewing on the way. Reaching to Nabbi gate in the afternoon we have our lunch boxes open to enjoy our lunch & move around then hike to the kopjes as we have an aerial view of the endless plains of Serengeti national park. Enter to the park after clearing from the gate to have a game drive to search for some animals before we drive to our lodge for dinner and overnight in the Seronera area
Day 3 – Serengeti Plains
Have a full day fun of our 6 days Serengeti budget safaris, as you wake up early for breakfast and then drive to the central part of Serengeti to enjoy our game drives. We can go as far as North to the border of Masai mara and Serengeti national park or Grumeti River in the Western part depending on the time of the visit. Serengeti plains have more to offer to our guests depending on the preferences of the guest. We will have lunch breaks during our full day exploration of the endless plains of Serengeti. Have Dinner and an overnight stay in the Seronera area.
Day 4 – Serengeti Plains – Ngorongoro crater
After breakfast at the lodge do we depart to Ngorongoro Conservation area with enroute game drive in search for what we might have missed on the previous days. We will stopover at Olduvai Gorge (Optional), boasting with a history of the remains of the first human kind. It was here, that the anthropologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handyman’. These are both very significant links in the chain of human evolution.
After our optional visit to Olduvai we proceed to the crater rim where we have our lunch from before we descend down to 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife for a half day safari tour. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro National Park supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park, its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes require a trained eye to spot. The park also houses the rare black Rhinos making this a dream of African big 5 complete.
Day 5 – Ngorongoro Crater to Tarangire
On this day we head to Tarangire National park with our lunch boxes. We report to the park headquarters after registration and we go for a full day game drive. This is where the dream of our 6 days Serengeti budget safaris with the African big 5 will be completed. Enjoy the beauty of the park which hosts big herds of African Elephants, buffaloes, Antelopes, Zebras, Lions, Leopards and many more. Have dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge
Day 6 – Tarangire to Arusha
On this day, wake up at leisure depending on your flight & have breakfast before we head back to Arusha for your flight.
