Western Corridor also called the Grumeti River region is where the migration starts to cross the River that is the Grumeti River around June before proceeding to the Northern part. If one is staying in this area the distance from Arusha is 460 kilometers and this takes 6 to 7 hours drive. 

The Northern Area or region. This is famous for the wildebeest migration when they cross the Mara River to Masai Mara national park of Kenya. It takes 8 to 9 hours to drive from Arusha to the Kogatende region if your driving. If one is staying in the North East in the Lobo area then be prepared for a 7 to 8-hour drive.
