Sanctuary Kusini Camp is a luxury accommodation found in south-central areas of the famous Serengeti national park on the border of the Maswa Game Reserve in the Tanzania region. The camp is set on a kopje (rocky outcrop) close to the incredible spectacle of the Great Migration. The camp is located 5 minutes’ drive away from Kusini airstrip.
How to get there.
One can reach the camp by taking approximately a 6-hour drive from Arusha town to Serengeti National Park, or by flying for 1-2 hours from Arusha to the nearby Kusini airstrip, followed by a 5-minute transfer to the camp. The camp is convenient and business-friendly to guests who want to explore the park with its stunning views and surrounding areas.
Sanctuary Kusini camp consists of over 12 en suite comfortable and spacious well raised bush tents with en suites overlooking the Serengeti plain, reflecting a traditional building style with modern Comfort .
The tents are well decorated and elevated on a raised platform, furnished with en-suite facilities that include a clean flushing toilet, a bathroom with hot and cold water shower, solar energy, a dressing mirror, a fan, mosquito nets, tables and chairs, free toiletries, complimentary bottled water, and other amenities.
Tents have verandas, sitting areas, and private balconies overlooking the spectacular view over the Serengeti Plains, wildlife migrations, and surrounding areas.
Tents are equipped with excellent, clean, and washed bedding, including queen and king-sized beds, single beds for individuals, double beds for sharing, and group or family rooming options.
The camp has cracking fireplaces where you can relax and share stories and experiences from the safari; not only that, but they also provide warmth to guests on cold nights and days.

The park
Serengeti National Park is located in Tanzania and extends into the southern part of Kenya; this is the Serengeti and Mara ecosystem in the Simiyu region. June–October are the best periods to be in Serengeti national park since it’s the dry season; it offers the best wildlife viewing when wildebeest are moving, seeking pasture and water. It’s an annual migration of wild beasts
The park contains over 70 large mammals, including buffaloes, elephants, crocodiles, zebras, lions, leopards, impalas, giraffes, and antelopes, as well as 500 species of birds, such as flamingos, ostriches, grey-breasted spur fowl, kori bustards, secretary birds, and many more, which encourages more tourists to visit the park and stay for a longer time.
