7 days Serengeti, Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar safari is a tour which involves a wildlife safari experience in parks such as Serengeti national park combined with a holiday on Zanzibar island for a chance to relax along the white sand beaches and also take part in a tour of the stone town, take a private boat to Changuu island, get a taste of the spices of Zanzibar during a spice tour and also engage in the famous safari blue excursion.
Day 1; pick up and drive to Serengeti national park
Your guide will pick you up from Arusha and you will start your drive from Arusha to Serengeti national park which is a destination known for the big five and for amazing wildlife viewing. You will be driven to the lodge for your dinner and to spend the night at Osinon camp.
Day 2; full day in Serengeti national park
After your breakfast early at your lodge, your guide will take you on a morning game viewing experience around the vast savannah plains of Serengeti national park where you will look for wildlife species like the big five and also wildebeests, hippos, elands, impalas, kudu, waterbucks, zebras, gazelles, giraffes and predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs among others.
You will also have lunch after your morning game drive and later engage in another game drive in the national park to search for other wildlife species and your guide will drive you to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Osinon camp.
Day 3; drive to Arusha
You will have breakfast at your lodge in Serengeti national park ahead of your drive to Arusha where your guide will drop you off at your hotel for dinner and overnight stay at Runako lodge.
Day 4; Kilimanjaro tour
On the 4th day of your 7 days Serengeti, Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar safari, You shall be met by your guide in Arusha town, and then proceed for a transfer to the foothills of Kilimanjaro Mountain, the highest free standing mountain in the world, and the highest mountain in Africa. You shall proceed to embark on a hike of the Marangu route, which will take you 6 hours to ascend and descend. After, you shall be driven to Moshi town from where you shall have dinner and an overnight stay at Bristol cottages.
Day 5; flight to Zanzibar island
Your guide will drive you to Arusha airport for your flight to Zanzibar island. On arrival at the airport in Zanzibar you will be picked up and driven to your hotel for check in and for dinner and overnight stay at Tembo hotel.
Day 6; city tour, visit Prison island and spice tour
You will have breakfast at your hotel and after this you will start your day’s activities including a city tour around Zanzibar island.
You will also take a private boat from Stone town to Changuu island or Prison island where you will enjoy seeing the Giant tortoises and during your tour of the island you will also enjoy snorkeling. You will take a boat back from Changuu island back to Stone town. On this day you will also engage in a spice tour as you explore the plantations where you will see different exotic spices and also get to know the uses of the spices like cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg among others. After the spice tour, you will return to your hotel for dinner and to spend the night at Tembo hotel.
Day 7; departure
On the 7th day of your 7 days Serengeti, Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar safari, you will have breakfast and check out of your hotel and you will be driven to the airport for your flight out of Zanzibar which will bring the Tanzania safari to an end.
