Below is detailed 5 days Serengeti safaris itinerary
Day 1 Arusha to Lake Manyara.
Pick up is done as early as 6 am from your hotel/accommodation depending on the location so as to beat the Arusha city jam. Have brief introduction by our driver guide who will pass you through the 5 days Serengeti safaris program.
Start our drive to Lake Manyara located on the shores of the great Rift Valley of East Africa. The game drive is slow though the roads are good but due to traffic regulations our drive will always be slow. We arrive at lake Manyara around mid morning or early afternoon, we branch to our lodge for refreshment and lunch. After lunch go for evening game drive depending on the weather but the game drives are always rewarding and excellent as you get more animals searching for their dinner and big ones resting after long day hustle. The most sited habitats are: Elephants, Lions, Giraffes, Zebras, Baboons and others. Return to our lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2 Lake Manyara to Serengeti
Wake up early for our next drive to the second destination on our 5 days Serengeti safaris, our lunch will be served early and lunch boxes provided at the lodge. We will have a short time drive then we reach to the Ngorongoro conservation area, clearing for transit of Ngorongoro and enter to the conservation area. Have brief stop at the crater view point, here there is free WiFi you can share live videos at this point as you see the animals dotted on the floor of the worlds largest crater.
The drive from Ngorongoro to Serengeti Nabbi gate takes 4 hours hence reaching the gate during lunch, have lunch break before we continue. There are many interesting and refreshing things at the gate, wash rooms are also available. You are free to go to the top of the kopjes to have a great view of the open endless plains of Serengeti. Have an evening game drive to look for Elephants, Zebras, Lions, Antelopes, Oribi, Gazelles, Rhinos and others. Dinner and overnight at our camp.
Day 3 Full day Serengeti
This is our most awaited and highlight of our 5 days Serengeti safari, wake up early for breakfast and have your lunch boxes ready we hit the wilderness. Have a full day game drive in search for a wide range of Serengeti wildlife. The park is gifted by nature with over 30 species of animals, over 400 species of birds accompanied by great cultural practices of the Maasai.
Day 4 Serengeti to Ngorongoro
Starting our day with breakfast, we have brief game drive in search for what we might have missed during the previous game drives. We will depart Serengeti for Ngorongoro our next peace of action on 5 days Serengeti safari. Reaching around lunch time we will have to open our lunch boxes as we relax at the top and entrance of the crater. We take brief time reading the crater rules before we descend down to the crater.
After our lunch we descend to the 600meters crater where nature meets wonders and I said before its another piece of action. See the animals at very close range like hippos, buffalos, lions, antelopes, and many more not forgetting the rare Rhinos and Elephants.
After the game drive we come out of the crater and drive to our lodge for refreshment after long tiresome game drives of the day
Day 5 Departure Enjoy breakfast, after which we will transfer back to Arusha. Upon arrival in Arusha will be dropped at the airport or at the hotel and then we will end our 5 days Serengeti safari.
