Serengeti Woodlands Camp is a mid-range mobile camp found on the slopes of the Naabi Hills, close to Lake Ndutu and Lake Masek within the Moru Kopjes in the hidden valley in the southern Serengeti National Park Tanzania.

The camp is part of Karibu Lodges and Camps, which runs and manages unique and serene accommodations across Tanzania.  The camp is convenient and business-friendly to tourists who want to explore the park with its beautiful view of the meeting point between two incredible wilderness areas since it’s a mobile camp

How to get there.

It takes approximately 6 to 7 hours to drive from Arusha city center to the Serengeti National Park camp, followed by a one-hour flight to the nearby Ndutu airstrip.

About Serengeti Woodlands Camp

Serengeti Woodlands Camp consists of 14 comfortably appointed and spacious tented accommodations, including 2 family tents overlooking the wilderness that reflect a traditional building style with modern comfort.

The tents are well decorated and furnished with private en suite facilities, including flushing toilets, hot and cold showers via solar heating, mosquito nets, chairs, free toiletries, complimentary bottled water, and other amenities.

 Tents have verandas and sitting areas overlooking the spectacular view of  Moru kopjes, Serengeti   savannah plains, and wild beasts that visit the camp   and surrounding area.

 Tents have excellent, clean, and washed beddings, with queen-sized beds that vary in size, as well as single beds, double beds, twins, and family rooms.

 The camp   has fireplaces where guests relax as they share stories about Tanzania safari as well as get warmth during cold nights.

Services and facilities at the camp include

  A restaurant that serves a variety of meals, including both continental and local options, to satisfy guests’ appetites, offering continental breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They also serve out-of-doors and indoor dinner options, and bush barbecue dinners are served by welcoming, friendly, and trained staff.

A well-stocked bar/lounge with both soft and hard drinks allows you to relax and sip the sundowner cocktail while enjoying the spectacular views of the endless Serengeti plains, wildlife visiting the camp, the lake, and other surrounding areas. In the evening, you can relax on the terraces while overlooking the Serengeti sunset.

Service: Camp offers laundry and housekeeping services, airport transfers and pickups since the lodges are close to the airstrips, ample parking space, and camping available.

Wifi hotspot  internet available at the lodge that enables   guests to keep in contact with their families and friends.

About Serengeti National park

Serengeti National Park is located in Tanzania and extends into the southern part of Kenya; this is the Serengeti and Mara ecosystem in the Simiyu region.  The park is among the popular and famous parks in Tanzania   covering   5700 square miles stretching North to Kenya and bordering lake Victoria to the west.  The best time to visit Serengeti National Park are from June to October, as this is the dry season that offers excellent wildlife viewing when wildebeest migrate in search of pasture and water. It’s an annual migration of wildebeests.

The park contains over 70 large mammals, including buffaloes, elephants, crocodiles, zebras, lions, leopards, impalas, giraffes, and antelopes, as well as 500 species of birds, such as flamingos, ostriches, grey-breasted spur fowl, kori bustards, secretary birds, and many more, which encourages more tourists to visit the park and stay longer.
