Serengeti River Camp is a mid-range accommodation found near the Kogatende areas in Northern Serengeti National Park, 30 meters from the Mara River. The camp is owned and managed by Karibu Camps & Lodges, which run ambient accommodations across Tanzania.
The camp is in the hidden gem and surrounded by Acacia trees and grasslands. It is in the perfect position for game Viewing where Annual wildebeest migration River crossing occur especially for travelers and tourists who want to explore the northern part of the park.
How to get there?
One can be at the camp by taking approximately a 6-hour drive from arusha town to Serengeti national park and a 1-2-hour flight from Arusha to the close Kogatende airstrip, then a few minutes to be transferred to the camp.
ABOUT THE CAMP
Serengeti River camp consists of 15 en suite luxury and elegant tents overlooking the incredible Mara River and surrounding landscape with modern Comfort.
-Tents are well decorated, elevated with raised platform and furnished with en-suite facilities of Clean flushing toilets, Bush showers with hot and cold water, solar energy, Dressing Mirror, mosquito nets, white duvets, free toiletries, free bottled water, slippers and other facilities.
Tents have verandas and sitting areas overlooking the spectacular view over the Serengeti plains and wildlife migration since the Mara River is the crossing point, especially from June to October and surrounding areas.
Tents are equipped with excellent clean and washed bedding with queen-sized beds that vary in size, with single beds for individuals and double beds for sharing, as well as family rooming options.
The camp has a cracking fireplace pit where guests can relax, share stories, and recount their safari experiences. It also provides warmth during the nights and on cold days.

A dining tent that serves different menus, both continental and local cuisine, that meets guests’ appetites. The camp offers a continental breakfast, picnic lunch, and dining areas; it also serves indoor and outdoor dinner options, as well as bush barbecue dinners overlooking the stars in the sky, all served by friendly and welcoming staff. You can have bush breakfast as you enjoy the breezes and the Morning Sunrises
A full bar tent offers a good selection of both soft and hard refreshments, including beers, sodas, wines, and water. You can relax on the veranda, which is the perfect place to enjoy the sounds of the African bush while sipping a cocktail and overlooking the spectacular views of the endless Serengeti plains, the wildebeest migration, and the surrounding areas.
Services include laundry and housekeeping services, Airport transfers and pickups since the camp is close to the airstrips, ample parking space available, and walking night safaris.

The Park
Serengeti National Park is located in Tanzania and extends into the southern part of Kenya; this area is known as the Serengeti and Mara ecosystem in the Simiyu region. The park is among the popular and famous parks in Tanzania, covering 5700 square miles stretching north to Kenya and bordering Lake Victoria to the west. June–October is the best period to be in Serengeti national park since it’s the dry season; it offers the best wildlife viewing when wildebeest are moving seeking pasture and water. It’s an annual migration of wildebeets.
The park contains over 70 large mammals, including buffaloes, elephants, crocodiles, zebras, lions, leopards, impalas, giraffes, and antelopes, as well as 500 species of birds, such as flamingos, ostriches, grey-breasted spur fowl, Kori bustards, secretary birds, and many more, which encourages more tourists to visit the park and stay longer.
