7 Days Tanzania Wildlife Safari begins in Arusha and continues to the northern part of Tanzania to wildlife viewing destinations such as Tarangire national park, Ngorongoro conservation area (Ngorongoro crater) as well as Arusha national park. You will also visit Mto wa mbu town where you will get a cultural experience and interact with the Maasai and get to know more about their way of life.

Mto wa mbu is a small town located near lake Manyara national park with a variety of cultures to interact with during a visit to this town. Tarangire national park which is also among the destinations you will visit during your 7 days Tanzania safari is famous for its many elephants and also diverse scenery as well as baobab trees.

Serengeti national park is home to the big five and is also famous for the migration of over 2 million wildebeests. There are many other wildlife species which can also be seen during a safari in this national park.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1; pick up and drive to Arusha hotel

Pick up will be at the airport by your guide who will welcome you and brief you about your 7 days Tanzania safari. After your briefing, your guide will drive you to your hotel in Arusha town for check in.

You will have an optional visit to Arusha national park where you will engage in a walking safari. Arusha national park is about 1 hours’ drive from Arusha town and during your 7 days Tanzania tour in this national park; you will get a close experience with your natural surroundings and also enjoy seeing wildlife species such as black and white colobus monkeys, buffalos, zebras among others. Dinner and overnight will be at Tulia boutique hotel and spa.

Day 2; drive to Tarangire national park

After having breakfast at your lodge in Arusha, you will be driven to Tarangire national park which is also found in the northern part of Tanzania and located not far from Arusha town. Tarangire national park is known for having large herds of elephants as well as ancient baobab trees.

You will check in at your lodge in Tarangire national park as you prepare for lunch and also an afternoon game drive. During your game drive in the national park, you will see wildlife species such as gazelles, impalas, zebras, waterbucks among others as well as the various bird species which this national park is known for. You will enjoy watching the sunset in the wilderness of the national park and your guide will drive you to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Tarangire Roika lodge.

Day 3; drive to Ngorongoro crater

Breakfast will be served at your lodge in Tarangire national park during your 7 days Tanzania safari as you prepare for your transfer to Ngorongoro conservation area. The Ngorongoro conservation area has various wildlife species and also the world’s largest in active volcanic caldera known as Ngorongoro crater which was formed as a result of collapse of the volcano.

After having your lunch at your lodge in Ngorongoro conservation area, you will descend into the crater and you will visit Lake Magadi which is found in the center of the crater. You will also see various wildlife species such as elephants, rhinos, buffalos, lions, leopards, cheetahs, wildebeests, zebras as well as flamingos along the shores of Lake Magadi. As you enjoy the beautiful scenery of Ngorongoro, your guide will drive you to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Hhando coffee lodge.

Day 4; drive to Serengeti national park

After breakfast at your lodge during your 7 days Tanzania safari in Ngorongoro conservation area, your guide will drive you to Serengeti national park which is also located in the northern part of Tanzania. You will enjoy seeing wildlife species such as the big 5 during your safari in the national park.

The wildebeest migration also takes place in Serengeti national park and involves over 2 million wildebeests migrating to Masai Mara national reserve in south western Kenya; you will have lunch after checking in your lodge in the national park. You will also engage in an evening game to see wildlife species such as zebras, lions, buffalos, elephants, giraffes, elands, impalas, antelopes among others. Dinner and overnight will be at Osinon camps and lodges.

Day 5; full day in Serengeti national park

You will start your day with breakfast at your lodge in Serengeti national park as you prepare for your morning game drive. You will also enjoy seeing a variety of wildlife species which are very active during the morning and can be seen grazing around the national park. You will also enjoy seeing the rock outcrops such as Simba kopjes where lions can be seen.

During your 7 days Tanzania safari, you will also have your lunch in the wilderness of the national park as you enjoy seeing wildlife species grazing in the open savannah of Serengeti national park like elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, impalas, gazelles, buffalos, elands, antelopes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos among others. You will have dinner and overnight at Osinon camps and lodges.

Day 6; Lake Manyara tour

Breakfast will be served at your lodge in Serengeti national park and after breakfast, your guide will drive you to Lake Manyara national park. Lake Manyara national park is known for its tree-climbing lions and another unique feature about this national park is that about two thirds of the national park is covered by water.

After check in at your lodge in Lake Manyara national park, you will have your lunch and later engage in a nature walk to get a close experience with the natural surroundings and forests in this national park. During your 7 days Tanzania safari in Lake Manyara national park, you will also enjoy seeing wildlife species such as giraffes, elephants, impalas, hippos among others. You will have dinner and spend the night at Twiga lodge.

Day 7; Mto wa mbu tour and departure

After having breakfast at your lodge in Lake Manyara national park, your guide will drive you to Mto wa mbu town where you will engage in a cultural interaction with the Maasai people. You will also engage in visiting traditional homesteads of the Maasai, visiting the local market as well as local craft shops. You will proceed to Arusha which will mark the end of your 7 days Tanzania safari.
