5 Days Serengeti and Ngorongoro Wildlife Safari is a trip to Serengeti national park and Ngorongoro conservation area (Ngorongoro crater) where you will enjoy wildlife viewing experiences with the big five and many other wildlife species.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1; drive to Serengeti national park

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha as you start your 5 days Serengeti and Ngorongoro safari. You will be welcomed by your guide as you make introductions and also have a short briefing about your safari.

Serengeti Animals — Serengeti Elepehants

You will proceed for your drive to Serengeti national park in the northern part of Tanzania where you will engage in game drives and enjoy seeing different wildlife species such as giraffes, buffalos, elands, impalas, buffalos, lions, leopards, antelopes, elephants and many others. Serengeti national park is also known for having the big five animals which include elephants, buffalos, rhinos, leopards and lions. You will spend the 1st night of your days 5 Serengeti and Ngorongoro safari at Osinon camps and lodges.

Day 2 and day 3; Serengeti national park

For the next 2 days during your 5 days Serengeti and Ngorongoro safari, you will start your day with breakfast at your lodge ahead of your full day exploring the plains of Serengeti national park. During your game drives, you will see numerous wildlife species such as the wildebeest, lions, elephants, buffalos, cheetahs, impalas, kobs, giraffes, leopards as well as a variety of bird species. As you drive around the savannah plains in the national park, you will enjoy the beautiful scenery and watch as the wildlife species graze.

You will also enjoy your lunch at your lodge after returning from your morning game drive and then engage in an afternoon game drive as you search for various wildlife species such as elephants, impalas, gazelles, kudu, wildebeests, waterbucks, zebras, antelopes and many others in Serengeti national park. After the game drives, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Osinon camps and lodges.

Day 4; drive to Ngorongoro crater and night in Arusha

After having breakfast at your lodge while on your 5 days Serengeti and Ngorongoro safari, you will be driven to Ngorongoro conservation area where you will have your packed lunch after checking in at your lodge. You will descend into Ngorongoro crater to enjoy wildlife viewing experiences. Ngorongoro crater was formed due to the eruption of a large volcano which later collapsed and formed a crater. You will also see different wildlife species in Ngorongoro crater such as elephants, giraffes, hippos, buffalos, zebras, wildebeests, black rhinos, cheetahs, hyenas, lions, jackals among others.

You will also visit Lake Magadi which is found in the Ngorongoro crater and you will enjoy seeing various bird species along the shores of the lake such as flamingos creating a beautiful spectacle along the shores of the lake. Many other bird species can also be seen along the shores of this lake such as rufuous tailed weaver, starlings, weavers among others. You will be driven back to Arusha where you will spend the night in Tulia boutique hotel and spa.

Day 5; drive to Arusha national park and end of safari

On the last day of your 5 days Serengeti and Ngorongoro safari, you will have breakfast at your hotel in Arusha as you prepare to drive to Arusha national park. Arusha national park is located close to Arusha town and is a wildlife viewing destination where you will engage in a walking safari to enjoy the wilderness and get a close experience with nature and enjoy seeing wildlife species such as black and white colobus monkeys, zebras, buffalos, antelopes, giraffes, hippos among others.

You will return to Arusha after your experience in the national park and this will bring your safari to an end of your 5 days Serengeti and Ngorongoro safari.
