Accommodations in Northern Serengeti National Park

Accommodations in Northern Serengeti National Park : The northern Serengeti is a gently rolling region with sporadic hills and kopjes, as well as tiny rivers, that stretches from Seronera for roughly 100 km north to the Kenyan border. Numerous locations here, notably the stunning Lobo Kopje, have healthy permanent populations of wildlife. The park’s major southern entrance is far away from this fascinating and diverse land, which is why it gets surprisingly few tourists.

You notice less cars the further north you go. You can still experience breathtaking Mara River crossings between around August and October, even during the migration. The wild Lamai Wedge, which stretches between the Mara River and the Kenyan border and features the charming Wogakuria Kopjie as well as a spectacular array of plains and valleys that are abundant in wildlife, is an especially beautiful place. Off-road driving is permitted exclusively in this section of the national park. Here are some of the accommodations we recommend;

The Serengeti Migration Camp is a beautiful, excellent establishment. On past visits, we found the cuisine to be excellent, and the service is efficient and courteous. This would be a nice option for people looking for a place to stay that is pretty comfortable. But because of its size, it accommodates a lot of groups, so it feels a little less intimate than most people would like.

Chaka Migration Camp

During the busiest time of year, the Chaka Migration Camp is located in the Northern Serengeti and offers the same excellent amenities and cosy tent accommodations as their permanent Kiota Camp in the Central Serengeti. Twelve roomy tents and a stunning outdoor dining area put you right in the middle of things, and the smaller number of tents guarantees that you receive individualised attention.

Lobo Wildlife Lodge

Lobo Wildlife Lodge is a more recent addition to the Northern Serengeti, offering family-friendly lodging for those who might want an alternative to tented accommodations. Situated atop a volcanic backdrop, Lobo Wildlife Lodge offers breathtaking views of the surrounding bush, a local waterhole, and unparalleled access to the Mara River.

Sayari Camp

Sayari Camp, formerly called Sayari Mara Camp, is a permanent, opulent camp located in Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park’s extreme north. Large, permanent populations of plains wildlife call this isolated area’s undulating vegetation, where the Mara River flows from east to west, home. Observing the huge wildebeest migration in this region of the Serengeti habitat is also a breathtaking experience.

Sabora Tented Camp

The former Grumeti Game Reserve was a privately managed game refuge that spanned roughly 1,500 km² and was located just northwest of the Serengeti National Park. A group from the reputable Singita firm, which operates a few of South Africa’s best private lodges, took over the management of this in 2006, together with the bigger, nearby Ikorongo Game Reserve and Fort Ikoma Open Area.
