SUNSET MOUNTAIN LODGE – RUAHA NATIONAL PARK
Sunset Mountain lodge is a mid- accommodation found on the majestic idelemle mountain 16km from Ruaha National park in Tanzania. The lodge is set in quiet atmosphere/ good place for relaxation and safari adventure for tourists, travellers and holiday makers and contemplate wilderness and abundant views The best way to travel to Ruaha national park from ARUSHA CITY is a flight that takes 5-6 hours to the close Msembe airstrip then few minutes to be transferred to the lodge. It’s very far by road taking about 941 km. The lodge is convenient and business friendly to travelers, tourists.
Sunset Mountain Lodge consists of 11 spacious and comfortable self – contained chalets overlooking the vast expanse landscape in African Traditional style with natural materials of Grass thatched roofs, local woods with high levels of comfort. Chalets are well elevated decorated with timber and furnished with tranquility and en suite private facilities of flushing toilet , hot and cold showers heated on fire, mosquito nets , wooden chairs and tables , free bottled water in the rooms , free toiletries, hand wash basin to mention but few . Chalets have large verandas out of the front, with sitting areas and private wooden balconies that give a stunning view of the wilderness and surrounding areas. Chalets are well equipped with comfortable beds containing queen sized beds and perfect to suit your needs. There is a fire place pit with comfortable seats where guests relax especially after a safari as they share stories ,it also provides warmth during chill weather .Chalets are in different sizes that suites solo travellers, family and groups with singles bed with individuals, doubles beds for couples / twins, and family rooming options ranging from 200$ per night and above. The room rate keeps changing as they go high during peak season than in low season.

A restaurant with the view of the park serving different cuisines both international and African- inspired meals that meets guests choice. Meals offered include Continental breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner in the main building served by well trained, friendly and welcoming staff, you can have meals in any place of your choice either veranda overlooking the river or in the dining areas. Bush breakfast is also offered while enjoying morning sunrises and bush dinners while overlooking the stars in the sky.
A-well stocked bar with variety of refreshment both alcoholic and nonalcoholic overlooking the spectacular view of the park and surrounding area.

Ruaha national park is the second largest national park in Tanzania after Nyerere national park found in the south of the central mid- point of Tanzania and west of Iringa Town .
The park was established in 1964 and It covers the total area of 20,226 square kilometers (7,809 ) square miles The Park is most visited and has different categories of accommodations that include Budget, Mid- range/ moderate and Luxury/expensive accommodations that are convenient and affordable to any travellers, tourists visiting the park.
