Ikoma Tented Camp

The Ikoma tented camp lies in the Savannah areas of the Serengeti plains. It is surrounded by a grove of acacia trees and has a great ambiance to keep a great memory of your safari in Tanzania. The camp has been upgraded of recent and now boosts of 31 semi luxury tents each with a suite facilities. It is fully furnished with a veranda for your views. The cam has a bar and restaurant with a camp fire place. These give you an ideal way of spending your evening after a long day of exciting game drives.

The camp just like many of them is along the Wildebeests migration between Kenya and Tanzania but it is specifically located on the borderline of the Serengeti national park. This place has one of the best spots for game viewing- along the western corridor of the park, taking in Kirawira and the Grumeti River, home to the infamous wildebeest-eating giant crocodiles. The world’s best wildlife spectacle can be best seen here.

Since the camp is located along the park headquarters, it is very possible to do nigh game drives and guided walks and this the camp can organize. You can have a chance to see nocturnal animals that other people may miss out. Experience first-hand the sounds of the African bush at night – a very different “creature” from the one seen during the day.

You will have a game walk with an armed ranger and this is for you own safety. This will give you a chance to explore the bushes with no fear. You will have breakfast in the bush and there is no best way to experience serenity in the wild than like this.

There is an airstrip just a few meters away from the camp, that means guests to this camp can fly in from any part of East Africa to the Serengeti National Park and specifically this camp to make you journey shorter and comfortable.
