Day 1: Transfer to Akagera National Park, Game Drive
You will be met by your driver guide at your agreed location in Kigali to transfer to Akagera national park where you will enjoy n en-route game drive on the southern Lake Ihema game drive. Look out for animals like elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, crocodiles, among so many others. Proceed to the lodge arriving in time to Dinner and overnight at Karenge Bush Lodge (Budget) Akagera Game Lodge (mid-range) Ruzizi Tented Camp (Luxury)
Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Ihema Boat Cruise
Rise up early in the morning for breakfast and go for a morning game drive with great anticipation of seeing the different animals which rise early to graze and predators looking for their early morning kill especially the big cats like the leopard, lions and many other carnivores. You will get to watch a number of herbivores like the rhinos grazing within the plains, elephants, gazelle, oribi and many other rewarding game animals.
Later, embark on a boat cruise on Lake Ihema where you will see game like hippopotamuses, elephants quenching their thirst from the river banks, Crocodiles and many bird species like the endangered shoe bill stork, the king fishers and many other water birds that live around the lake and the surrounding swamps. After an amazing safari experience, you will make your way back to your camp for dinner and overnight stay as above.
Day 3: Transfer to Kigali City
After breakfast at the hotel, you will transfer to Kigali city and get to enjoy an optional Kigali city tour if time allows. Drop off at Kigali international airport in case you have a flight to catch back home, or hotel of stay in Kigali. This brings your Rwanda safari tour to an end.
